There are many types of ceilings and widely used materials. This includes metal frame or MF ceilings, suspended grids, plasterboard, and examples using metal and wood.
There can be varying levels of acoustic & sound absorption available. Heat insulation, and fire resistance.
Ceilings can be suspended below a fixed point or mounted directly to an existing ceiling.
Suspended ceilings are widely used in commercial buildings allowing for cabling, air conditioning, heating and services to be hidden but allowing for easy access for maintenance work.
